Jersey Deutsch is the Field Director at Canvass for a Cause. Before working for CFAC she canvassed and organized across the country as a Canvassing Director with the Human Rights Campaign, Environment California, and Environment New York. She also was an organizer and an activist in Northern California with a few small activist organizations, and ran protests for the Prop 8 campaign. When she came to San Diego, she saw that CFAC was doing the amazing fieldwork and grassroots work that it takes to make change.

CFAC can definitely accomplish the things Jersey cares about because we are funded by the people, we are run by the people. We have around thirty-thousand members now. CFAC is totally small-donor funded, and has proved time and time again that, by putting the power in the hands of the people, we are able to make huge political change. The best thing she can hope for is that there is a shift in the power paradigm in this world and the country and that we can make decisions and mobilize the people to stand up and help change the minds of city officials. She feels that it is our job to mobilize and organize and make things happen.

Something that might surprise people about Jersey is that she is awesome at rollerblading.
