WHAT WE DID

Without an organization to help us fundraise, we just did it ourselves. We hit the streets with clipboards and asked our community to donate money to us to help us fly to Maine and help with this fight. We decided that there should be an organization that allows people to use grassroots techniques to fight on progressive causes, and so literally on the plane on the way back from Maine from 30,000 feet in the sky we registered the legal entity of Canvass for a Cause.

HOW WE HELPED

1) We fundraised $4700 over the course of two weeks of fundraising.

2) We flew a total of 6 volunteers to Maine to spend a week working as unpaid staff on the campaign.

3) We donated a cumulitive total of 504 volunteer hours devoted to working alongside the campaign staff phone banking, fundraising, and recruiting volunteers.

4) We recruited 227 volunteers, exceeding our goal by 120 volunteers.

5) We phoned 76 confirm calls.
