The CFAC Field Committee is a group of activists ready to take direct action in local, statewide, and nationwide issues that affect the LGBTQ community and threaten progressive politics. We reach out to our voter base through phone banks and encourage them to get out and vote, or to call their local representatives to pressure them to make decisions based on the needs of the people. Not only do we take the defense by protesting the repeal of marriage equality and demonstrating in California, we also take the offense by helping launch marriage campaigns in other states, such as New York, Maine, and Washington. We do the groundwork needed to move voters because we believe in the power of the people.

Our group of volunteers is ready to mobilize voters; contact legislators; write letters to district attorneys; protest, demonstrate, and petition; and fundraise for nonprofits that have experienced state budget cuts and need emergency funding. We are catalyzing change by getting the people on board with us, and going out there and taking direct, effective action on behalf of important progressive causes.
